Residents of Kano State have been left stunned following the tragic death of a young woman, Maryam Nababa Badamasi, barely two months after tying the knot with her husband.

According to reports presented before the court, the late Maryam reportedly came from a wealthy background, and investigators suspect financial motives may have played a major role in the shocking incident.
The prosecution revealed that the defendant is currently facing charges connected to alleged culpable homicide. Prosecuting lawyer Aisha Habibu Hassan told the court that the matter is a serious capital offence and requested more time for legal advice and further investigation.
Presiding magistrate Sadiya Zakirai subsequently ordered the suspect to remain in custody pending the outcome of ongoing investigations.
