Kunle Afod Appeals to Ose Local Government Over Poor Conditions

Kunle Afod has publicly urged leaders of Ose Local Government, Osun State, to address the poor living conditions affecting its residents.

In a video on Instagram, Afod highlighted several issues:

  • Children studying in poor school conditions
  • Hospitals lacking basic equipment
  • Impassable roads
  • Unreliable power supply

He specifically called out local government officials Clement Kolapo Ojo, Olatunji Emmanuel Oshati, Adelegbe Oluwatimehin Emmanuel, Ipinsagba Emmanuel Olajide, and Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, pleading:

“Please hear the cry of your people. Ose needs urgent attention.”

Previously, Afod had drawn attention to poor road conditions in Osun State, highlighting safety risks and the rise of kidnappers along bad roads. His advocacy is part of a larger trend of Nigerian celebrities speaking out on public infrastructure issues. For instance:

  • Comedian Ayo Makun criticized the government after a fatal accident involving boxer Anthony Joshua, calling for safer roads and better emergency response.
  • Actor Kunle Afolayan praised Ekiti State Governor Seyi Makinde for reconstructing the road to his film village, highlighting its economic benefits.
  • Singer Portable publicly challenged Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun over dangerous roads, later confirming the government’s commitment to repairs.

Kunle Afod’s latest appeal emphasizes the urgent need for infrastructure improvement, public safety, and basic service provision in Ose Local Government.
