Mabel described her birthday as truly “one for the books,” appreciating her Maker for blessing her with life, family, and friends who traveled from far and wide to celebrate with her.
“Monday 30/03/26 and 04/04/26 were unforgettable! First, to God Almighty, my Creator, who made both days possible—without Him, none of this would have been achievable. I am nothing without you, God,” she wrote.
Overwhelmed by the presence of loved ones, Mabel continued:
“Seeing all my family and friends who traveled from near and far, words can’t express my emotions. I SAY A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL. Another year older, another year to be better. My heart is full. Thank you.”

During her celebrations, Mabel paid special tribute to her late mother, Mrs. Rose Temietan Eyesan Nwanegbu, who passed away in 2024. She shared a touching video of herself and her daughters dressed in gold, reflecting on the bond she had hoped to celebrate with her mother on her 70th birthday—a shoot that never happened due to her passing.
The grieving process, Mabel noted, “doesn’t announce itself loudly,” revealing the quiet weight of her loss. Her mother was laid to rest at the Garden Ikoyi in Lagos, with notable personalities like Sandra Okagbue, Medlin Boss, and Stella Michaels in attendance. However, her estranged husband, Ayo Makun, and his siblings were noticeably absent—a move that sparked reactions online.
Gratitude for Growth and Resilience
Last year, Mabel celebrated the 13th anniversary of her interior design brand, reflecting on the journey of building it from scratch. She thanked God for giving her the strength to grow and endure, no matter the challenges she faced.
