Cubana Chief Priest Reveals Why Governor Alex Otti Has Not Joined ADC

Cubana Chief Priest has explained why Alex Otti has refused to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to Chief Priest, the reason is tied to federal support:

  • President Tinubu has been providing funds to Abia State, enabling Governor Otti to implement projects and succeed.
  • Chief Priest argued that many people pretend to oppose Tinubu, while actually benefiting from his support.

He praised President Bola Tinubu as a leader “with doings” and stressed that governors, rather than the president, are often the real issue behind poor governance in states. He noted that allocations meant for all governors are being used effectively by some, like Otti, while others lag behind.

Chief Priest said:

“Alex Otti is an example that Tinubu isn’t your problem, but your governors. As far as I am concerned, Tinubu gives all the Governors’ allocations to my own state, Imo. Our Governor is working; if all the Governors do like them, we will get a better country.”

Previously a strong supporter of Peter Obi, Chief Priest surprised many by switching allegiance to Tinubu. In February, he shared a video showing Igbo businessmen donating buses to support Tinubu’s re-election, emphasizing that they are committed to making him popular in the South East.

Reacting to criticisms from some Igbo youths, Chief Priest defended his position, arguing that supporting Tinubu does not constitute betrayal, and insisted that Tinubu is “20 steps ahead.”
