nigerian music legend 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) has weighed in on the ongoing debate over the “Top 3” Nigerian artistes, naming Burna Boy as the leading Afrobeats star on the global stage.
The term “Big 3” is commonly used to describe Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido, who are recognized as Nigeria’s most influential musical exports internationally.
During his recent appearance on Mic On Podcast with Seun Okinbaloye, 2Baba said:
“I have favourite songs from the three. But I think Burna is on a different level right now. In terms of music influence and global reach, Burna is currently at the top across the world. That said, everyone is doing fantastically well.”
His comments sparked conversations online, with fans debating the global impact of each artist while acknowledging the success of all three Nigerian superstars.
