Nollywood actress and producer Bimbo Ademoye took to Instagram to vent about a challenging day, declaring that she is “done with the devil trying me.” She explained that due to some staff negligence, her movie release faced setbacks, but reassured fans that her film, Mirrors and Reflections, would premiere in an hour.
“I had a really challenging day… Done with the devil trying me!!! We’re still going live. In an hour we shall feast!! I LOVE YOU GUYS TILL THE END!!”
Earlier, Ademoye had raised the alarm over piracy when a man named Emmanuel Davis uploaded her movie to YouTube without permission and monetized a song created specifically for her by singer Ugochi. She vowed to involve authorities to ensure justice.
Bimbo also recounted past struggles, including dealing with a jealous friend who tried to sabotage her career, and how she was almost stereotyped into sexual roles early on because of her curvy physique. Her career breakthrough came when award-winning filmmaker Uduak Isong gave her the opportunity to showcase her talent.
The actress has since thrived in Nollywood, winning Best Actress in Comedy at the 2023 AMVCA, an award she proudly shared with her supportive father.
