In a touching show of solidarity, Vice President Kashim Shettima paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai on Monday, following the de@th of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
The visit, confirmed by Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, was marked by heartfelt prayers for the late matriarch and support for the grieving El-Rufai family.
Describing Hajiya Umma as a woman of great virtue and strength, Shettima prayed for her soul’s repose and for her family to find courage during this painful time.
El-Rufai, who has been receiving dignitaries at his Abuja residence since the passing on Friday in Cairo, welcomed the Vice President with gratitude.
The gesture underscores the respect and solidarity within Nigeria’s leadership during times of personal loss.
