Nigerian singer Mayorkun is safe after viral reports claimed his Lagos home went up in flames following an explosion on Saturday night.
Reacting on Instagram, his mother, Toyin Adewale, debunked the rumors, calling the news “seriously unfair” and questioning why the story was published without proper verification.
She reassured fans that her family is safe, prayed for protection over them, and thanked well-wishers who reached out after seeing the false reports.
Toyin wrote: “My family and I will never cry, nor sorrow, nor evil shall befall us IJN… Please, learn to do better.”
The singer and his family remain unharmed, putting the viral claims to rest.
