Fani-Kayode Slams ‘Fake News’ Over Germany Ambassador Rejection—Calls Out Opposition

In a fiery response that’s already setting social media ablaze, former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has broken his silence over claims that Germany rejected him as Nigeria’s ambassador.

Taking to his X account, Fani-Kayode dismissed the reports as outright “fake news”, insisting that the stories are a smear campaign orchestrated by opposition elements upset over his appointment.

“Fake news everywhere. These opposition elements are so pained by my appointment and they are doing everything to discredit me and scuttle it,” he wrote. “Whether they like it or not, I will serve my country! Keep crying!”

The political firestorm comes as Fani-Kayode gears up to represent Nigeria abroad, and his post has only fueled debates online about the tension between government appointees and opposition forces.

One thing is clear: Fani-Kayode isn’t backing down, and the drama around his ambassadorial journey is just heating up
