Nigerian music legend Peter Okoye has finally put rumors to rest—Psquare is officially “done and dusted.” The former hitmaker didn’t mince words when a fan asked about a possible reunion, bluntly stating that he’s moved on and there’s no going back.
“Not with me! Done and dusted,” Peter fired back on social media, making it clear that the iconic duo era is over. Another fan suggested that the group’s split was why some of them have struggled in recent years. Peter didn’t hold back, reminding critics to respect people’s choices: “Not your flop! Learn to respect people’s decisions! Nothing lasts forever! Change is constant.”

This isn’t the first time Peter has publicly addressed the end of Psquare. He has previously declared that the band no longer exists, describing himself as “his own Square,” while his brother Paul and elder brother Jude continue their own path. Peter has also been candid about the personal struggles within the family, hinting that betrayal and manipulation cost him dearly over the years.
Last year, Peter offered life advice to his younger self: trust cautiously, believe in yourself, and remember that loyalty and love aren’t always guaranteed—even from family. His statements have reinforced the narrative that real family is measured by loyalty, not just blood ties.

The fallout with Psquare reportedly stems from long-standing disputes over finances and control within the group. In 2023, tensions resurfaced after allegations of joint funds being diverted by Jude Okoye. Paul Okoye later claimed Peter was involved in their arrest by the EFCC, but Peter denied any wrongdoing, insisting that his brother’s alliances sidelined and humiliated him instead of helping him reclaim their former glory.
For fans of Psquare, the reunion dreams are officially over—but Peter Okoye is moving forward, unbothered and determined to carve his own legacy in music.
