Nigerian talent manager Ubi Franklin is not keeping quiet after facing intense backlash over his recent meeting with Seyi Tinubu—and he’s coming with full receipts.
The controversy started after Ubi shared photos from a strategy session, one of which showed Seyi holding a bag of rice. That single image triggered heated reactions online, with critics questioning the motive behind the meeting.

But Ubi wasted no time setting the record straight. According to him, supporting any political figure is a personal right, and he made it clear where he stands. He openly reaffirmed his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates aligned with his political interests.
Not stopping there, Ubi reminded everyone that his involvement in politics didn’t start today. He revealed that his journey dates back to 2008, long before the spotlight, adding that he has held official roles and even contested in party primaries. Despite setbacks, he says he remained loyal to his party, the All Progressives Congress.

To further silence doubters, he pointed to his presence at major political events, including past party conventions in Abuja, insisting he has consistently been part of the process over the years.
This isn’t the first time Ubi has faced criticism over his political affiliations. He previously clapped back at critics, calling out what he described as hypocrisy—arguing that many people would jump at similar opportunities if given the chance.

Love him or not, one thing is clear: Ubi Franklin isn’t backing down, and he wants everyone to know he’s been playing the political game long before the noise started.
