Nollywood actress Adebola Adeyemo, popularly known as Seiilat, has emotionally confirmed the passing of her father, expressing deep pain and heartbreak.
Sharing her grief online, the actress revealed that her father fought hard before his passing, but ultimately succumbed. She admitted that the loss has left her feeling completely broken, describing it as a kind of pain she wouldn’t wish on anyone.
According to Seiilat, the emotional weight of losing a parent runs deeply, as she reflected on the special bond between a child and the one who gave them life. She also acknowledged the overwhelming support from fans and colleagues but noted that she is currently not in the right state of mind to respond to messages.
Her loss adds to a wave of recent bereavements within the entertainment industry. Actor Mofe Duncan recently lost his father, while filmmaker Chinney Love mourned her mother.
Similarly, Israel DMW, associate of Davido, also announced the death of his father. Actress Faithia Williams faced a similar tragedy, losing her mother just before her birthday.
Actors Timini Egbuson and Dakore Akande also mourned their father earlier in the year, while comedian Alibaba Akpobome lost his mother.
