‘Am I Not Their Father?’ Portable Explodes Over Access to His Children

Controversial Nigerian street-hop artist Portable (Habeeb Okikiola) has publicly voiced his frustration over what he claims is being denied access to his children by their mothers.

In a video shared online, the singer appealed directly to his baby mamas, urging them to allow his children visit him at home. He questioned why his relationship status with their mothers should affect his role as a father, insisting that he deserves to maintain a bond with his kids.

Portable argued that he has fulfilled his responsibilities, stating that he was present during the naming ceremonies of his children and supported their extended families financially. He suggested that a father who is actively involved should not be cut off from his children.

The outburst comes shortly after he accused the mothers of preventing him from spending time with his children during the recent Eid celebration. In his reaction, he expressed anger and disappointment, maintaining that regardless of personal differences, his identity as their father remains unchanged.

The singer’s personal life has often been in the spotlight. He is married to Bewaji, with whom he has children, while also having multiple children with other women, including Keji and actress Ashabi.

Portable has previously addressed his family situation publicly, stating that while he has several baby mamas, he recognizes only one wife. His relationship dynamics have frequently sparked reactions online, especially following his comments about finances, loyalty, and support within his household.

His latest remarks have once again stirred conversations on social media, with many weighing in on issues of co-parenting, responsibility, and access to children after relationships end.
