American streamer IShowSpeed has reignited the classic West African jollof debate after sampling Liberian jollof rice during his Africa tour.
In a video clip, the 21-year-old content creator, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., tasted Liberian jollof for the first time. While he admitted the dish was tasty, he made it clear that Nigerian jollof remains his top pick.
“I’ve got to be honest, it’s good… but I think Nigerian’s is better,” he said, sparking a wave of reactions on social media. Nigerian fans celebrated his verdict, while users from other countries playfully revived the friendly jollof rivalry.
