Veteran filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has turned heads with his recent warm gesture towards colleagues, hosting Nollywood stars like Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe, and many others at his KAP Film Village & Resort.
The gathering, held after a 10-day shoot, was more than just a party — it was a celebration of collaboration, mentorship, and support in Nollywood. Kunle stressed the importance of creating spaces for younger creatives to thrive, calling the film village “more than a location… a home for African storytellers.”

“Film is not just about cameras and lights — it’s about community, collaboration, and unity,” he wrote, appreciating the stars and crew who’ve been working tirelessly. The event also featured appearances by Timini Egbuson, Bolaji Ogunmola, Yemi Solade, Ronke Oshodi, and others.
The celebration comes after a series of past controversies, including Kunle’s public jabs at colleagues like Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele over movie earnings and promotional strategies. While some stars defended themselves, many fans praised Kunle for now fostering unity and giving back to the industry.

The star-studded hangout highlights the filmmaker’s commitment to growing Nollywood from within — supporting talent, building communities, and proving that collaboration can shine brighter than competition.
