Tonto Dikeh Returns to School After Viral Deliverance, Donates Laptops Despite N200m Lawsuit

Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has returned to the school where she recently held a controversial deliverance session, this time to donate laptops to students.

Through her charity arm, the Tonto Dikeh Foundation, the actress announced a technology support initiative aimed at improving digital learning in schools.

According to her, the foundation plans to distribute 30 laptops across three schools, with 10 laptops allocated to each institution. The first batch has already been delivered to JSS Durumi II, where students received the devices.

Tonto explained that the project is designed to help students develop essential digital skills and prepare them for modern educational opportunities.

She emphasized that access to technology can help students conduct research, explore new ideas, and compete in a global learning environment.

The donation comes shortly after a legal controversy involving the actress. A lawyer, Ikechukwu Obasi, recently filed a ₦200 million lawsuit at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja on behalf of a junior secondary school student linked to the earlier deliverance incident.

The legal filing argues that the act allegedly violated the child’s rights to dignity and privacy and could expose the student to ridicule or emotional distress.

Despite the ongoing legal dispute, Tonto Dikeh has continued her humanitarian outreach. Earlier this week, she also pledged to sponsor a student’s education through university and reportedly supported the child’s father with ₦1 million to start a business.

The actress has long been known for her charity work, including paying school fees for thousands of students, providing scholarships, and supporting vulnerable communities through her foundation. 🎓✨
