Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has stirred reactions online after a viral video showed him struggling to touch the sacred Black Stone during his visit to the holy city of Mecca.
The singer, who is currently observing the final days of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia, joined thousands of worshippers at the Kaaba hoping to touch the revered Hajar al-Aswad.

In the trending clip, the crowd around the Kaaba made it difficult for the “Mr Money” crooner to reach the Black Stone. A man standing close to him could be heard encouraging him to push through the crowd.
“Asake manage! You’ll feel like you want to die, but you won’t,” the man said while hyping the singer.
Another video circulating online shows the artist appearing frustrated when a Saudi police officer tried to stop him from taking photos with fans shortly after prayers. The moment briefly drew attention online, though the situation appeared to calm quickly.

The singer’s spiritual trip has been making headlines for days. Recently, videos surfaced showing him receiving special access while praying at the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina.
Outside the pilgrimage moments, Asake has also been trending for generous family gestures during Ramadan. The singer reportedly surprised his mother with a luxury Mercedes-Benz G-Class and gifted his father a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser.
Before his trip, the music star also paid a courtesy visit to the palace of Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi in Ile-Ife, where the monarch warmly welcomed him and praised his mother for supporting his journey to success.
Asake, known for blending Afrobeats with Amapiano and Fuji influences, rose to global fame with hit songs like Mr Money and Omo Ope, the latter featuring rapper Olamide.
The viral clips from Mecca have since sparked mixed reactions online, with fans praising his devotion while others discussed the intense crowd around the sacred site. 🕋
