Nollywood actor Daniel Etim Effiong has sparked conversations online after revealing that he prioritizes his wife, Toyosi Etim Effiong, above his children.
Speaking during an interview on the Masplantion podcast, the actor explained that while he deeply loves his children, the bond he shares with his wife remains his highest form of love.
“I would say yes. I love my wife more than my children. My wife comes first before my children. Although they have a really special place in my heart.”
Daniel emphasized that his children are still very important to him, but his marriage remains the foundation of his family.
The couple, who welcomed their third child, a baby girl, in 2025, have often been open about their relationship and marriage dynamics. Announcing the birth of their daughter last year, the actor described the moment as “another arrow added to their quiver to the glory of God.”
Toyosi has also publicly expressed admiration for her husband. In a previous Instagram post, she revealed that despite seeing him every day, she still blushes whenever she sees his photos appear on streaming platforms like Netflix.
Their marriage has also sparked discussions in the past, especially after the couple openly discussed their relationship during an interview with media personality Toolz, where they talked about communication and honesty as key factors in keeping their relationship strong.
