Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has shared her first emotional post since the burial of her mother. The Yoruba actress lost her mother last month, just before her 55th birthday, and has described her as her cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and confidante.

On Saturday, March 7th, Faithia’s mother was laid to rest with a select group of colleagues in attendance. Taking to Instagram, the actress bade her mother farewell, writing:

“My mother has finally gone to rest, IYAMI OWON, sun ree ooo.”

Faithia had earlier shared her grief through posts and videos, including a heartbreaking clip of her mother’s birthday wish and a dark image expressing how shattered and broken she felt after her mother’s passing.

The loss adds to Faithia’s series of personal bereavements, as she lost her father in April 2024. She had publicly mourned him and laid him to rest according to Islamic rites, sharing appreciation for the support of her fans and colleagues.
