Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has set tongues wagging again with her relationship with fellow actor Odobodobo Motolani. Sharing loved-up photos in matching traditional outfits on Instagram, Laide revealed their bond is built on trust, laughter, respect, and a deep understanding only they share.
She added:
“While others had their opinions, we chose to listen to our hearts.”
Fans had noticed their chemistry last Christmas when they appeared in matching pyjamas, with Motolani admitting he thought the holiday would be lonely until Laide showed up.
Despite the speculation, Laide clarified that she is still husbandless and that Motolani is purely a colleague and friend.
The actress has been married twice: first to American-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she had a daughter, and later to Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo, with whom she had two sons. Both marriages ended due to personal and legal complications.
Laide’s post sends a clear message: while the world talks, she and her heart know the truth about love and friendship.
