Fresh drama is unfolding in Nollywood and the church circle as actress Doris Ogala publicly called out popular cleric Chris Okafor for withdrawing the apology he earlier made over their controversial saga.
The actress took to social media to question the pastor’s sudden reversal, hinting that his latest move might be an attempt at “damage control.”
Her reaction came shortly after the clergyman declared during a church service that his apology had been misunderstood and that he never admitted to any wrongdoing. According to him, he only apologised to prevent respected religious leaders from being dragged into the controversy.
But Doris didn’t hold back.
In a strongly worded message, she asked if the pastor had finally finished “cleaning up” the situation so she could respond fully.
At the same time, the actress surprisingly shifted the tone of the conversation by extending an olive branch to Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh.
Doris revealed that she had chosen to forgive Tonto completely, stating that she no longer wishes to drag the actress online despite their recent clash.
According to her, she genuinely feels happy seeing Tonto doing well and believes their past issues should be left behind.
She wrote in part that she has no personal problem with the actress and would rather move on peacefully, urging people not to fuel further conflict between them.
However, while she appeared ready to bury the hatchet with Tonto, Doris made it clear that her story with Pastor Okafor is far from over.
The long-running controversy between the actress and the cleric dates back to last year when she accused him of ending their years-long relationship after allegedly promising to marry her. Doris also made several explosive claims at the time, including accusations of betrayal and emotional distress following the breakup.
The situation became even more dramatic when the pastor publicly knelt during a church service to apologise to her and other women he claimed to have hurt in the past.
Now that the apology has been withdrawn, Doris’ latest remarks suggest that the already messy saga may not be ending anytime soon.
