Nigerian music superstar Peter Okoye, formerly of the iconic duo Psquare, took fans on a nostalgic trip down memory lane, sharing a throwback video with Nigerian football legend Mikel Obi.
In the clip, Peter recalled his dual pursuits of football and music, revealing that he was once offered a chance to play for Plateau United FC through the Pepsi Academy. However, his dream was always to play in Europe — a dream that didn’t materialize as destiny steered him toward music instead.
“NEVER GIVE UP! I used to play football and chase music at the same time. Somehow, destiny chose the mic instead. 🎤 Today, I’m an established and successful artist. That’s nothing but grace. OGforever,” Peter wrote.
Beyond reminiscing, the singer shared personal insights in a new-month prayer video, showing his home interiors while wishing fans abundance and protection from hardship. He also shared advice to his younger self, urging belief, self-love, and caution in trusting others, emphasizing that “family is blood-related, but real family is loyalty.”
