Nollywood actress Kudirat Ogunnro, popularly known as Semilore Pweety, has drawn a hard line amid the growing controversy surrounding influencer King Mitchy.
Following the disturbing viral livestream where Mitchy allegedly consumed a toxic substance on camera, Kudirat didn’t mince words. She called on the Nigeria Police Force to immediately arrest anyone using harmful chemicals like Sniper as social media content.
According to her, Sniper is strictly an insecticide — not something to ingest, promote, or normalize online. She stressed that such acts go beyond clout-chasing and cross into dangerous territory, especially when children and teenagers are active on these platforms.
“This is not content. This is a threat to life,” she warned, urging authorities to clamp down before the trend spirals further.
Kudirat’s reaction adds to the chorus of celebrities speaking out. Actor Damola Olatunji recently questioned what law enforcement is doing about self-harm-themed content, while IK Ogbonna has advocated for stricter social media regulations. Actress Mary Njoku also lamented the culture of distraction and viral chaos dominating online spaces.

The situation escalated further when false reports of Mitchy’s death circulated, with a hospital later issuing a public disclaimer denying any involvement and promising investigation into the misinformation.
As debates rage on, one message is becoming louder among celebrities: clout should never cost lives.
