Billionaire businessman Dr. Deji Adeleke, father of Afrobeats megastar Davido, has finally broken his silence on the long-standing paternity allegations involving his son and Ayo Labinjo, the woman who claims Davido fathered a daughter named Aanuoluwapo.
Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, Dr. Adeleke addressed the controversy head-on, describing it as a painful issue that has lingered for years despite repeated clarifications.
“Let It Be on Record”
In clips now circulating online, the billionaire philanthropist stated firmly:
“Let me put it on record that I have fourteen grandchildren.”
He explained that the allegation first surfaced in 2014, when he received a letter from a lawyer in Ibadan accusing Davido of impregnating a woman and abandoning both mother and child.

According to him, he immediately took steps to investigate the claim rather than dismiss it.
Kemi Olunloyo Accused of Impersonation
Dr. Adeleke also made serious allegations against controversial media personality Kemi Olunloyo, accusing her of impersonating the alleged child online and deliberately keeping the issue alive.
“I’m not even sure it is legal to impersonate a minor. This Kemi Olunloyo has been after my son David for many years. Everything she says is always negative, always trying to put him in a bad light,” he said.
He revealed that members of Ayo Labinjo’s own family had distanced themselves from Olunloyo and even apologized to the Adeleke family for the embarrassment caused.

Message From Ayo’s Sister
Reading directly from a message sent to him, Dr. Adeleke quoted Ayo’s sister, who allegedly wrote:
“The account is not run by me, Ayo, or my mum. It is run by Kemi Olunloyo. We cut ties with her years ago and have begged her several times to stop posting about Anu.”
The message further apologized to the Adeleke family for the public attention and distress.
DNA Test Claims and Renewed Controversy
Dr. Adeleke reiterated that DNA tests already conducted showed no biological link between Davido and the child, dismissing continued demands for fresh tests as unnecessary harassment.
However, the controversy resurfaced recently after Anu, now a teenager, made a public appeal on Instagram requesting a new DNA test.
Ayo Labinjo has since countered the Adeleke family’s claims, insisting that only one DNA test was done in 2014, which she alleges was mishandled or unreliable. She has called for a fresh, transparent DNA test, possibly supervised internationally.

A Family Tired of the Drama
While the Adeleke family insists the matter has long been resolved, the renewed public appeals have once again divided opinion online—fueling debates over accountability, privacy, and the emotional toll of unresolved public disputes.
For now, Dr. Deji Adeleke’s message is clear:
The family believes the truth has already been established—and the continued noise is unfair and damaging.
