Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has finally opened up about a deep betrayal that’s been gnawing at her heart. Taking to Instagram, she revealed that a colleague—possibly Ekene Umenwa—fabricated lies about her, despite Destiny always being kind and loyal.
Destiny wrote: “You asked for forgiveness, and I forgave you… but I can’t forget. This is an abomination and dents my name. How could a Christian betray someone she calls a sister?”
She explained that the lies targeted her reputation even with her family, leaving her mother saddened and disappointed. Destiny made it clear that while she’s forgiven, the pain lingers—and the truth must be known.
This revelation comes after the ongoing drama in Nollywood where colleagues have been accused of backstabbing, spreading false stories, and dragging reputations online. Destiny remains unshaken, posting photos asserting that she is authentic, unapologetic, and unstoppable.
She’s also escalating matters legally: after Queeneth Hilbert accused her of snatching colleagues’ “Odogwu,” Destiny filed an N100 million suit demanding a public retraction and cease-and-desist order.
