Controversial activist VeryDarkMan has stirred fresh drama after publicly expressing disappointment in the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, over an alleged private chat with socialite King Mitchy.
The tension stems from an ongoing online clash between VDM and King Mitchy, who had earlier challenged him amid their back-and-forth over school renovation projects. To defend her credibility, Mitchy shared a WhatsApp screenshot showing a message allegedly from the monarch praising her social media efforts and asking when they could speak.

Reacting strongly, VDM questioned what he described as irony — saying he would bow to greet the Ooni in person, yet the monarch appeared to be “bowing” to Mitchy in private messages. He voiced disappointment, suggesting the exchange diminished the royal stature attached to the throne.
In his remarks, VDM contrasted the situation with the Alaafin of Oyo, Abimbola Owoade, whom he praised while wishing a prosperous reign.
The controversy has added fuel to an already heated online saga between the activist and the socialite. Their feud reportedly escalated after Mitchy accused VDM of questioning her source of funds and making inappropriate insinuations about her conduct.
Known for his blunt commentary, VDM has built a reputation for calling out celebrities, influencers, and institutions over alleged wrongdoing. His outspokenness has earned him both fierce critics and vocal supporters, including notable figures in entertainment.

As reactions continue to pour in, the alleged chat and VDM’s fiery response have once again placed traditional authority, social media influence, and celebrity activism in the spotlight — with many watching closely to see how the royal palace responds, if at all.
