“Protect Everyone, Not Just One Side” — Yhemolee Speaks on False R@pe Allegations

Popular Nigerian nightlife influencer Yhemolee has sparked discussion on social media after reacting to a recent r@pe allegation that was later proven false.

In a detailed post, Yhemolee described the situation as “quite unfortunate,” emphasizing the need to protect women while also ensuring that men are not destroyed by false claims.

“Wrongful claims can permanently ruin lives,” he wrote, noting that some accused men have lost careers, reputations, and even their lives before the truth surfaced. He referenced high-profile cases, including former Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy, to illustrate the serious consequences of allegations alone.

Yhemolee also highlighted a wider societal impact, warning that false accusations could indirectly harm real victims by making people demand proof before taking genuine cases seriously.

“As much as we protect our women from r@pe, we should also protect men from false accusers too… If wrongful accusations continue, actual victims may not be taken seriously anymore,” he wrote.

He concluded by calling for balance and reason, urging people to stop turning sensitive issues into gender wars and instead focus on justice and humanity for all parties involved.

The post has sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising his call for fairness, while others caution that it should not detract from the fight against sexual violence.
