Nigerian DJ Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has shared guidance for single women, drawing inspiration from the biblical story of Ruth.
In a recent Instagram video, Cuppy explained that Ruth’s story isn’t just about romance—it teaches obedience, healing, serving others, and working hard.

She emphasized that while Boaz noticed Ruth in the field, God already knew her and had a purpose for her. By serving her mandate, Ruth eventually found her Boaz.

Reflecting on her own journey, Cuppy noted how her single status has deepened her faith. She even wrote “Jesus” as her emergency contact on forms, showing her reliance on God.
Since her failed engagement to a British boxer, Cuppy and her younger sister, Temi Otedola, were baptized in May, a spiritual milestone celebrated with their mother, Nana Otedola, who prayed for Cuppy to find a man running after God.
Cuppy also shared how purpose and intention guide her life. While nervous about performing exclusively Christian music, she trusted God to lead her through, proving that pursuing one’s purpose can open doors to God’s plans—including the right partner.
