Nigerian relationship guru and influencer Blessing Okoro, famously known as Blessing CEO, has deactivated her Instagram page following a tidal wave of criticism over her alleged stage 4 breast cancer claim, which she later admitted was false.
The drama escalated after Blessing granted an explosive interview with Egugun, where she revealed she made N13 million from donations and boldly declared she would never apologise to Nigerians for accepting the funds. She insisted the confusion arose from a misunderstanding with her doctor about the lumps in her breast—but the public was far from forgiving.
Minutes after the interview, her Instagram account went dark. Fans quickly speculated that she deactivated it to avoid being reported or flagged, while some slammed her for allegedly exploiting people’s sympathy.

Social media reactions were swift:
- @bawawalkat: “She went too far!”
- @ese_19: “Nothing vexes me more than people who donate to her.”
- @andre27_star: “Went too far, she should manage whatever she wants to post.”
- @luchip247: “She wants to come back when everywhere is calm. Yahoo woman!”
Last week, Blessing had shared her “cancer battle” on Instagram, claiming she was scared and exhausted, though she barely falls sick. She even revealed she had no exact cost for surgery and requested money because she didn’t know what to expect—but later admitted she exaggerated the situation.

Critics were merciless. Some accused her of forging medical results to raise funds for her partner IVD’s business, while others called her a criminal manipulating gullible Nigerians. Even celebrity colleague Nkechi Blessing weighed in, pointing out how people often confuse her with the relationship therapist, turning her name into a curse.
In a rare gesture of support, the sister of IVD’s late wife, Mama Jazz, donated N1 million to Blessing, showing solidarity despite the controversy. However, activist Very Dark Man, who had also donated, warned Blessing to clarify her situation or refund the public, citing potential criminal implications.
As of now, Blessing CEO remains off Instagram, leaving Nigerians to speculate whether she will make a comeback or let the scandal fade into silence.
