Lagos residents marked Easter on Friday by visiting the National Theatre and Leisure Mall, Surulere, enjoying shopping, sightseeing, and recreational activities. Families, youths, and children were spotted taking pictures, relaxing under trees, and enjoying festive snacks.
At the National Theatre, visitors like Mrs. Kemi Oladipo praised the open space for relaxation, while others looked forward to stage performances such as Dis-Loyal Judas. Music star D’banj, along with 2Baba and Wande Coal, are set to headline The C.R.E.A.M Experience 3.0 at the theatre. Tickets range from N30,000 (General Access) to N200,000 (Kings Row).
Meanwhile, Leisure Mall was bustling with shoppers like Mrs. Bose Adeyemi and Mr. Chinedu Okafor, who combined grocery shopping with family outings. Food vendors and small businesses saw increased sales, and children enjoyed outdoor activities. Security personnel were deployed at both locations to maintain order.
The Easter festivities are expected to continue as more Lagos residents visit recreation centres during the holiday.
