Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang visited Angwan-Rukuba in Jos North LGA on Monday following a deadly attack on the community on Sunday night.

During his visit, the governor expressed condolences to affected families and described the incident as a tragedy impacting the entire state. He urged residents, especially youths, not to take the law into their own hands.

Mutfwang assured that:

  • Proper burial arrangements will be made for the deceased—no mass burials.
  • The government will cover medical bills for those injured.
  • National authorities, including the president, are aware, and justice will be pursued.

He appealed to community leaders and youths to stay peaceful despite grief and anger, emphasizing that calm and cooperation with authorities are essential.
