Popular Nigerian social media commentator Isaac Fayose has revealed that his wife is currently battling cancer. Sharing a heartfelt video, Fayose, who recently traveled to Australia, broke down as he recounted her condition.
In the video, he described how his wife, usually full of energy and love, was too weak to greet him or speak. Sitting by her bedside, he sang her favorite hymn, “Abide With Me,” in both English and Yoruba, and she gently squeezed his hand to show she could hear him.
Fayose reflected on the limitations of wealth in the face of illness, stating, “My wealth couldn’t save my wife.” He used the moment to urge Nigerian leaders to improve the country’s healthcare system, highlighting that even personal wealth cannot substitute for quality medical care.
