Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has stirred conversations online after a viral video showed him receiving special treatment while visiting the holy city of Medina.
In clips circulating on social media, the “Lonely At The Top” singer was seen being escorted inside Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. The individual guiding him reportedly took the artist close to a revered prayer area associated with Prophet Muhammad, where he paused to pray.
The footage quickly sparked debate online, with some social media users questioning whether celebrities should receive preferential treatment in such a sacred place, while others defended the moment as a normal guided visit.

While reactions remain divided, the moment has continued trending across platforms, drawing attention from fans and critics alike.
Meanwhile, the singer has also been making headlines for his recent family gestures during the Ramadan period. Reports revealed that Asake gifted his mother a luxury vehicle and later surprised his father with a new car, an act that earned praise from many fans.
The singer recently visited the palace of Adeyeye Ogunwusi in Ile-Ife, where the monarch welcomed him warmly and commended his mother for supporting his journey to success.

Asake has continued to grow as one of the biggest Afrobeats stars globally, gaining recognition through hit songs like “Mr Money” and “Omo Ope,” the latter featuring rapper Olamide. 🎶
