Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has spoken out to quash circulating rumours linking him romantically to married actress Bambam.
In an interview with BBC Igbo, Uzor explained that he first met Bambam on the set of Love In Other Words, and emphasized that he always asks for consent before any physical contact with co-stars, especially married colleagues.

“Before I touched her, I asked if there was any way it could cause problems at home. That movie was the first time I met her. But people started saying we slept together and were dating, which is completely false,” he said.
The rumours intensified after Bambam and her husband, Teddy A, unfollowed each other on Instagram and Teddy deleted all pictures of Bambam.

Some online users even claimed Teddy divorced Bambam after allegedly discovering she was pregnant with Uzor’s child—claims Uzor strongly denied.
Addressing a tweep who spread the allegations, Uzor vowed to hold the individual accountable, stressing the importance of respecting boundaries and not chasing clout at the expense of someone’s reputation.
Despite the social media frenzy, insiders, including Onyeka Nwelue, confirmed that Bambam and Teddy A are still together. However, fans noticed that Bambam celebrated her daughters’ birthday without her husband and had dropped Teddy’s surname from her social media name, raising questions about the couple’s current dynamics.
Uzor’s statement aims to put rumours to rest while reaffirming that his professional conduct on set is guided by respect and consent, ensuring married colleagues are never put in uncomfortable situations.
