Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has responded to critics questioning his decision to feature his late colleague Allwell Ademola while promoting his new cinema release Kilanko, a movie directed by the late actress before her untimely passing.

Speaking on the Oyinmomo TV program, Salami emphasized that Ademola’s death was simply her time. He noted that cardiac arrest can strike anyone, and that the late actress, who had asthma, took her health seriously and never treated it lightly.

Reflecting on their friendship, Salami shared that for five years, he and Allwell celebrated New Year’s Eve together, praying and making wishes under the same roof. Her passing left him heartbroken, with 72 hours of tears unable to bring her back. He also expressed gratitude to colleagues and the Nollywood family for supporting him and his family during the mourning period.
