Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha Akide has proudly unveiled her Guinness World Record plaque, marking a major milestone in her career as a make-up artist.
Tacha broke the previous record of 64 makeovers in 8 hours, completing 82 makeovers in the same time frame and even achieving 143 makeovers in 24 hours. She shared the achievement on Instagram, emphasizing that it represents 10 years of dedication, growth, and passion for her craft.
“Records are broken. Some records are made. And some are made with purpose… 10 years of building. 10 years of believing. 10 years of becoming. And today, the plaques say it all,” she wrote.
In an emotional tribute, Tacha dedicated the achievement to her late mother, Stella, who passed away 12 years ago. She described her mother as the inspiration behind her skills and success, sharing her longing to show her mother that she has broken boundaries.
“Mummy, see… see what I did. Makeup… my first love. The love that grew into passion. The passion that has now birthed 2 Guinness World Records… Mummy, I miss you so much. I wish you were here to see this. But I know you’re watching me. Your daughter did it.”
Tacha’s record not only cements her status as the fastest make-up artist in the world but also serves as a heartfelt reminder of her journey, resilience, and the influence of her mother’s guidance over the years.
