Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has travelled to Saudi Arabia to perform the Umrah pilgrimage during the final days of Ramadan.
The movie star shared a video on Instagram showing herself at the airport as she prepared to depart for Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia. According to her, she plans to spend the last 10 days of Ramadan in the holy cities observing prayers and spiritual reflection.
While announcing the trip, the actress invited fans and followers to send their personal prayer requests, promising to remember them in her supplications.
“Time for Umrah… Mecca, Medina, Saudi Arabia for the last 10 days of Ramadan. Feel free to send me your prayer requests. I will surely pray for you wholeheartedly, Insha Allah.”
Her trip comes amid recent rumours linking her romantically with fellow actor Odobodobo Motolani, although the actress has not publicly addressed the speculation.
In recent years, Laide Bakare has continued to expand her achievements beyond acting. She previously earned a Doctorate Degree in Arts and Humanities from the American University of Peace and Governance in the United States.
The actress was also appointed Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment, Art, Culture and Tourism to the Osun State Government, marking her entry into public service.
