Afrobeats superstar Davido has broken his silence following the heartbreaking death of his close friend and socialite, Denisi.
The sad news was first shared online by Denisi’s friend, Joel Booysen, who posted emotional tributes on social media while recalling memories they shared together.
In one of his posts, Booysen revealed how Denisi had moved to South Africa to support him, writing that the loss had left him devastated and heartbroken.

Reacting to the news days later, Davido took to his Instagram story to share a video of his late friend expressing belief in him.
The singer accompanied the clip with a touching promise:
“You loved and believed in me so much. I won’t let you down.”

Denisi was reportedly part of Davido’s inner circle and was also present during the white wedding of Davido and Chioma, showing how close he was to the Afrobeats star and his family.
Denisi is survived by his wife, Zimbabwean socialite Dani Allen.
