Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has opened up about a terrifying moment from her teenage years.
At just 15, she ventured into a tough Mushin neighbourhood to raise money for her brother’s school fees—and narrowly escaped a horrifying fate.

Speaking on The Afropolitan Show, Omotola revealed a colleague led her to a group of men infamous in the area for lending money and their dangerous reputation.
Surrounded and frightened, she had to plead for her life, explaining her reason for needing the loan. Thankfully, the men agreed to help.

But the ordeal didn’t end there. When she couldn’t repay the money, the men threatened her and even took items from her home, including the family TV and DVD player. Despite the danger, Omotola reflects on the experience as a moment she survived against the odds.
The story highlights the challenges she faced growing up and the courage she had even as a young teenager trying to support her family.
