Nigerian social media activist Very Dark Man (VDM) has issued a stern warning to Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh following her viral deliverance session at a school.
Reports revealed that Tonto, who has embraced a Christian lifestyle, conducted deliverance on a student during her weekly outreach. However, VDM, whose team renovated the school, criticized her for involving children in what he described as self-glorifying content.
In a strong statement, he said:
“When I saw the reason behind the Tonto Dikeh viral deliverance with an innocent girl, I was more pizzed… TONTO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I have told all the boys in that area to make sure what you did yesterday never repeats itself again. You have put a stigma on that poor innocent girl because you want to glorify yourself in your new found content… LEAVE DURUMI ALONE, OR CREATE AWARENESS ON THE POOR STATE OF THINGS THE PEOPLE ARE FACING.”
VDM also recalled previous confrontations with Tonto, including a brawl with an alleged car dealer over unpaid debt, and expressed sympathy for her exes who he says went through hardships due to her.
Tonto, on her part, appeared unfazed by the backlash, telling her critics on Instagram that she loves herself enough not to be stressed by anyone. She reminded the public that her name is Oba, and she isn’t one to engage in unnecessary arguments.
The tension between Tonto and VDM isn’t new. In 2024, she took action against him over prior allegations, even inviting him to the police for questioning. Their history also includes encounters at a gym in Abuja, where VDM hinted Tonto is aware of his routine.
The controversy underscores the fine line between faith-based outreach and public perception, especially when children are involved.
