Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has added her voice to prayers against untimely death in the movie industry.
Reacting to the recent passing of Taiwo Adegbodu, she shared on Instagram: “Oh Lord, the amount of Rest In Peace we have typed this year is enough. God, please put a stop to untimely deaths. May we live long. Amen.”
Biodun isn’t alone. Other actors, including Rotimi Salami, Yewande Adekoya, and Odunlade Adekola, have similarly prayed for protection from premature death, mourning losses and asking God to heal broken hearts in Nollywood.
Meanwhile, Eniola Badmus has called for decency online, condemning death wishes, and Yul Edochie urged Nigerians to embrace traditional ways to curb untimely deaths in the industry.
The wave of prayers highlights a growing concern among actors over repeated, unexpected losses in Nollywood.
