Nigerian socialite and nightlife entrepreneur, Okechukwu Pascal, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has come to the defence of TikTok streamer Peller following his unsuccessful attempt to meet American YouTuber and live streamer, IShowSpeed, during the latter’s visit to Lagos.
Peller’s failed effort to connect with the visiting content creator sparked widespread discussion online, particularly after videos surfaced showing him being turned away by IShowSpeed’s security team.
Reacting to the backlash, Chief Priest took to Instagram to praise Peller’s determination and ambition, while criticising what he described as a culture of tearing down people for pursuing their dreams.
He applauded Peller’s persistence, describing it as a key reason behind his growing popularity and relevance.
“There is no shame in hustle,” Chief Priest wrote, noting that Peller’s willingness to push forward without fear of embarrassment sets him apart from many others.
According to him, the TikTok streamer’s boldness and unapologetic drive have helped elevate his profile, even as critics mocked his attempt to meet the American star.
Chief Priest added that despite IShowSpeed’s presence in Nigeria, Peller remained a major talking point online, arguing that the attention reflects the streamer’s rising influence.
He concluded by urging Nigerians to support one another’s ambitions rather than ridicule them, stressing that mockery often ends up amplifying the very people being criticised.
