Fans of Nigerian music power couple Simi and Adekunle Gold were recently thrown into confusion after shocking rumours surfaced online claiming their marriage was heading for divorce.
The speculation began after a supposed divorce document started circulating on social media, allegedly showing that Adekunle Gold had filed a petition to end their marriage. The document, dated February 28, 2026, claimed their relationship had reportedly broken down due to issues such as emotional pressure, financial disagreements, and accusations that Simi had too much control over her husband’s personal and professional life.

However, the drama was quickly shut down.
Simi’s manager, Vincent, stepped forward to clear the air, firmly stating that the circulating document is completely fake. According to him, the divorce story is nothing more than a false rumour created to mislead the public.
He stressed that there is absolutely no truth to the claims and urged fans not to believe everything spreading across social media.
