Nollywood actress Chizzy Alichi is celebrating a year of pure blessing as her son, Kenechukwu, turns one. To mark the occasion, she shared an emotional throwback video from her labour room, showing the tender moment she welcomed her little one, who had to spend time in an incubator.
On Instagram, Chizzy poured her heart out, attributing every milestone to God’s faithfulness.
“Kenechukwu is one year old today. God is faithful, and we return all the glory and adoration to Him. Those that put their trust in God can never be put to shame.”
A Year of Firsts
Chizzy’s journey to motherhood hasn’t been without challenges. When she first announced her pregnancy, she described it as the most difficult period of her life. In October, she and her husband, Chike Mbah, held a lavish dedication ceremony for their son, attended by top Nollywood stars including Rita Dominic, Peggy Ovire, Nancy Isime, and Uche Elendu.
Reflecting on her first year as a mother, Chizzy expressed gratitude for the joy her son brought into their lives. She also shared hopes and prayers for twins next, jokingly and lovingly marking the start of new dreams for their family.

In December, the actress and her husband celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary, making it their first as parents. Chizzy described the year as a blessing, saying:
