It’s back to business for Natasha Idibia, wife of music legend 2Baba, as she officially returned to her legislative duties at the Edo State House of Assembly following her maternity leave.
The lawmaker, who welcomed her first child with the iconic singer late last year, shared a clip of her return to the chambers. Addressing the House, she warmly expressed her excitement, saying she was happy to be back from her maternity leave while acknowledging the Speaker and her colleagues.

Her return comes months after the couple quietly welcomed their baby, keeping details — including the child’s gender — away from the public eye. Shortly after, the family held a church dedication in a Catholic ceremony attended by close relatives.
Natasha’s political journey hasn’t been without headlines. In 2024, she was summoned by the Edo Assembly’s Ethics Committee over a viral incident involving her and her husband abroad — a development that stirred conversations online at the time.
However, beyond controversies, the Egor Constituency representative has continued to build her profile. She received the Best Legislator Award at the 2025 National Leadership Awards in Abuja, dedicating the recognition to her constituents and reaffirming her focus on women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and youth development.

Her husband has remained visibly supportive of her political ambitions. From praising her achievements publicly to standing by her side during official milestones, 2Baba has often described her as a strong and intelligent leader.
The couple’s relationship also made waves when they traditionally tied the knot in July 2025 in an intimate ceremony attended by close family members.
Now, with maternity leave behind her and legislative duties resumed, Natasha Idibia appears ready to balance motherhood and public service — proving once again that she’s not just a celebrity spouse, but a lawmaker determined to make her mark.
