The online tension just took another twist as social media influencer King Mitchy has publicly addressed why she blocked Nollywood actress Sarah Martins — and according to her, it has nothing to do with envy, money, or competition.
The drama began after Sarah claimed Mitchy cut her off shortly after Seyi Tinubu reportedly supported her NGO. She also alleged that Mitchy acted distant and dismissive when they crossed paths at a movie premiere hosted by Toyin Abraham, leaving her embarrassed.
But Mitchy is now setting the record straight.
In a calm but firm statement, she explained that her decision was purely about protecting her peace and maintaining self-respect. According to her, Sarah is closely associated with someone she has long-standing issues with — and rather than invite unnecessary tension into her space, she chose to step back.
She emphasized that the move wasn’t fueled by hatred or hidden motives, but by wisdom and boundaries. In her words, she would rather create distance than risk misunderstandings or controversy.
Mitchy also expressed disappointment that her actions were being misinterpreted, especially since she believes she had previously shown Sarah support and respect.
Meanwhile, the influencer has already been at the center of other heated online battles, particularly her public feud with controversial activist VDM over school renovation claims. The back-and-forth reportedly escalated to the point where Mitchy lost her business page and faced damaging accusations.
The situation grew even more alarming when a viral live video showed Mitchy consuming a harmful substance, triggering panic across social media. Shortly after, her management released a statement announcing her alleged death at a hospital in Abuja.
However, Prime Care Hospital Abuja issued a disclaimer denying she was ever admitted there and distanced itself from the claims, promising to investigate the misinformation.
For now, Mitchy insists her decision to block Sarah was simple: boundaries over drama. And in the middle of swirling controversies, she says she’s choosing distance — not conflict.
